I’ve scoured the webz and found these video game valentines. Hopefully they will help you on your own romantic quest.
This outfit is inspired by Matriarch Benezia from Mass Effect. I wanted to do a modern take on her evil evening gown of sorts. I decided to go with a very restrictive, yet sexy look. I chose a dark purple pencil skirt paired with a satin camisole. I found black accessories and a black jacket. I also chose gold earrings that remind me of the style in Mass Effect. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the Reapers of Mass Effect 3. Keep in mind that this is more an abstract outfit - I really wanted to capture the Reaper’s alien feeling with textures and shapes. I chose a predominantly black outfit, with an off the shoulder shirt and high boots. I also chose printed leggings that just scream Reaper to me for some reason - I can’t really put it concretely. I also chose spiky gold jewelry that reminded me of their weird limbs. (Reference Image)
Sorry about the delay with this outfit everyone! I was having some technical difficulties with my Polyvore account, but all is good now! Thanks for the patience :)
This outfit is inspired by Ashley Williams from Mass Effect 3. I chose to do her armor from Mass Effect 3 instead of from the first Mass Effect because I really like the blue color palette. I wanted to highlight this palette, and her chilled out personality, but doing a casual fall outfit. I chose a dark blue motorcycle jacket with a light blue tank top, dark jeans, and grey toms. I also chose a grey beanie for those cooler fall days. Lastly, I chose jewellery that was simple, but made a statement with silver metal and black accents. I also drew some inspiration for the jewelry from the alliance symbol - I wanted to capture the feeling of the lines. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the infamous N7 Armour from the Mass Effect series. I chose to pair leggings with a dark tunic to imitate the armour’s dark palette. I also chose a dark red bag and red earrings to replicate the armour’s accents. The earring’s long shape also imitates the armour’s back lights. (Reference Image)
In honor of the Mass Effect Extended Cut coming out yesterday, I decided to do a Hanar-inspired outfit suitable for hitting the clubs on the Citadel with Blasto.
This outfit is inspired by the Hanar of Mass Effect. I chose to do a pink high-low dress because I believe it reflects their height and tentacles in a stylish way, plus it’s super trendy. I paired it with silver jewelry and black “spacey” accessories (Aren’t those heels cool?). (Reference Image)
This week’s community submissions included a Renegade Commander Shepard and another Link outfit.
The Renegade FemShep (Mass Effect) outfit was submitted by Darcerentity (She’s also on Twitter - @LitchicInk). Here’s what she had to say about her outfit:
“I think the silver streaks and sparkles are a nice nod toward armor and bullets/heatsinks. The burnouts on the tank give a nice textural detail and allow the red velvet tank to show through in a nod to Shep’s N7 stripe. The narrow slacks look both practical and chic and the cargo pockets add a nice military touch. My accessories include a silver-and-coral bracelet my husband gave me and a north star necklace from my parents (both a nod to the Renegade star icon and a memento of Shepard’s love for the stars and space travel).”
I love her use of accessories - I think they really compliment the outfit and the character that it was inspired by.
The next community outfit was submitted by me - I literally tried to copy my Link outfit as perfectly as possible. The entire outfit was purchased at forever 21 for a total of $70 (Totally affordable for this much clothing!). I chose bright green shorts, a white tunic, and some very tri-force inspired accessories. Now, I know we’ve had a lot of Link outfits lately, but it’s definitely something that is summer appropriate.
This outfit is inspired by Subject Zero or Jack from Mass Effect 3. I chose to do an outfit similar to her’s in game, with dark cargo pants, white top, and black jacket. I also chose black accessories with a biker feel and her signature dark red lipstick. (Reference Image)
This week’s community submissions feature a super awesome Nathan Drake and my own version of Miranda Lawson. Camicon sent this pic in and made note that “the skull bracelet was an anniversary present from my girlfriend who is also a huge fan of C2C and fashion in general” - I absolutely love sentimental pieces, and this one fits perfectly with the Nathan Drake outfit.
I’m personally not a big fan of my Miranda outfit, but due to a lack of girl submissions, I thought I would share. Let’s get some more lady submissions - no need to be shy!
Send in your pictures via the submit page or by email at consoletocloset@gmail.com. Please send in only photos of yourself rocking the outfit, as we are not accepting polyvore creations at this point in time.
Another awesome community created outfit. This one is by Ian Z, rocking a Garrus-inspired outfit from Mass Effect. (Gotta love that awesome Tali shirt!)
“My girlfriend was so inspired by your Garrus look that we went shopping and she got me an outfit like it. The shirt and jeans are from Banana Republic. Shoes are dark blue converse from DSW. Thanks for the inspiration.”
I have received more requests for a male outfit inspired by Garrus than any other character! So here it is, an outfit inspired by the Archangel, the Sniper, the amazing Garrus Vakarian of Mass Effect. I chose a really cool plaid button up over a space shirt (Is it Palaven’s moon?!). I also chose a backpack to add that bulky look of Garrus’ armor on his back - Plus, every sniper needs to carry his tools. Lastly, I chose an Archangel belt buckle - Now to pull of a big belt buckle, make sure you choose a neutral colored belt and don’t tuck in your shirt. (Reference Image)
