I started a spin off blog to Console to Closet called Shelves to Streets, documenting my real life outfits, fashion inspirations, and anything else I can’t really post on C2C. Hopefully it’ll be some extra inspiration and style advice to create your own real life gaming-inspired outfits!
Nothing is changing on Console to Closet (Except that I might re-blog my best real life gaming outfits onto here every once in a while), new outfits will continue to happen every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Ally - Dress with Lace Shirt, $30/ Dorothy Perkins - Cream Crochet Trim Cardigan, $55/ Ebay - Women’s High Heeled Booties, $30/ Aldo - Brantner Bag, $55/ Accessorize - Sunflower Stud Earrings, $12/ Forever 21 - Stretchy Filigree Bracelet, $8/ Dorothy Perkins - Tan Moon Buckle Belt, $9
This outfit is inspired by Zelda from the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I wanted to do an outfit that was both feminine and detailed. I chose a wine colored dress with a lace top and paired it with a cream cardigan. I also chose a gold detailed bag and teal flower studs. I found beautiful brown ankle boots and finished the outfit off with a teal bracelet. This outfit could be worn to work or hanging out on weekends.

Inspired by Squall from Final Fantasy
This outfit is inspired by Matriarch Benezia from Mass Effect. I wanted to do a modern take on her evil evening gown of sorts. I decided to go with a very restrictive, yet sexy look. I chose a dark purple pencil skirt paired with a satin camisole. I found black accessories and a black jacket. I also chose gold earrings that remind me of the style in Mass Effect. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Elika from Prince of Persia. I really wanted the outfit to be fancy, since she is a princess, but also have some exotic influences. I chose a beaded dress paired with brown pumps. I also chose gold jewelry and a gold sequin clutch to really compliment the dress. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Ayane from Dead or Alive 5. I chose to do her ninja outfit because I think it’s ridiculously badass. I wanted to do something that looked equally as badass, but maybe not as ninja-y. I chose a sexy black body suit, paired with purple jeans. I also chose a leather purse and knee high black boots. Lastly, I found red earrings and a red bracelet that reminds me of her rope belt. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci from Assassin’s Creed. I wanted to do something that looked older, without looking older - so I chose retro prints and silhouettes. I chose a black dress which I paired with a light blue floral cardigan and floral tights. I also chose brown leather boots and a red purse. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by my personal favorite Pokèmon, Gyarados. I’m going to give you three reasons why Gyarados is the best Pokèmon ever:
1. It’s from a lovely little place named Lake of Rage! Arrrggghhh
2. It’s a flying fish. That’s awesome.
3. It’s a water type that can learn fire and electric moves. Total surprise attack.
Now that Gyarados is your favorite Pokèmon too, you’ll really want to wear this outfit inspired by the dragon. I found a gorgeous dress that reminded me of the different shades of blue and spikes that cover Gyarados. I added a black belt to contrast against the print. I also chose a cardigan that’s the same color as Gyarados’ belly. I wanted to bring a little ocean influence to the outfit, so I found a starfish ring and bubble necklace. The violet earrings look amazing with the dress and are the same color as Gyarados’ eyes. (Reference Image)
