Another awesome community created outfit. This one is by Ian Z, rocking a Garrus-inspired outfit from Mass Effect. (Gotta love that awesome Tali shirt!)
“My girlfriend was so inspired by your Garrus look that we went shopping and she got me an outfit like it. The shirt and jeans are from Banana Republic. Shoes are dark blue converse from DSW. Thanks for the inspiration.”
I have received more requests for a male outfit inspired by Garrus than any other character! So here it is, an outfit inspired by the Archangel, the Sniper, the amazing Garrus Vakarian of Mass Effect. I chose a really cool plaid button up over a space shirt (Is it Palaven’s moon?!). I also chose a backpack to add that bulky look of Garrus’ armor on his back - Plus, every sniper needs to carry his tools. Lastly, I chose an Archangel belt buckle - Now to pull of a big belt buckle, make sure you choose a neutral colored belt and don’t tuck in your shirt. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the Red Trainer in the Pokèmon series. I chose a mostly red palette, similar to the characters, and chose a cool plaid button up instead of a vest. I also chose some sneakers and a snap back hat for a sense of youth - plus the snap back hats are really in style right now, I actually think they look way cooler than the typical flat brim. You could even add a black or grey jacket to this outfit to stretch it’s life into the colder weather. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Gordon Freeman of the Half-Life series. I chose similar colors to his in-game armor, however, I didn’t want to have too much orange since it’s a very difficult color to pull off. I also chose a grey sweater instead of a sweatshirt or hoodie because I think it adds a more mature feeling to the outfit. I also chose some pretty basic accessories of a watch and beanie, and of course, I had to include his signature glasses. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Professor Layton. This outfit was incredibly challenging because well, let’s be honest, his outfit is pretty ugly. I chose to make the colors more neutral, choosing greys, tans, and burgundy (instead of bright orange). I also chose to do a fedora instead of a top hat. But even then, I must put a warning label on fedoras: If you’re not sure if you look good in one, you probably don’t. Fedora’s are a very difficult accessory to pull off, so be weary of that. I chose very professor-ly accessories such as the cardigan with the elbow patches and boat shoes. (Reference Image)
These outfits are inspired by the blue and orange Portals of the Portal series. I chose to do both guy and girl outfits that look awesome by themselves, but can also be worn together. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Wheatley of Portal 2. I chose to do a modern, sleek suit with geeky accents to reflect Wheatley’s personality as everyone’s favorite idiot. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the Pokèmon Charmander. I chose a more neutral grey palette to compliment the bright orange accents in this outfit. Now orange jeans may seem a little intense to some of you, but I can promise that colored jeans are not just for girls. I’d recommend wearing them with more neutral tops, such as grey and white (Stay away from black - you might look like you belong on Halloween). (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Banjo of Banjo Kazooie. I chose a really cool graphic shirt with birds on it to represent Kazooie - Banjo’s partner in crime. I also chose bright accessories to mimic the colorful game. (Reference Image)
Finally, another guy outfit! This one is inspired by Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil series (this outfit in particular is more based on his look in RE5). I chose a neutral palette with military inspired pieces and possibly the coolest shoes I have ever seen. You could totally rock the necklace that came with the collectors edition of Resident Evil 5 with this outfit. (Reference Image)
