Inspired by Squall from Final Fantasy
This week’s community submissions included a Renegade Commander Shepard and another Link outfit.
The Renegade FemShep (Mass Effect) outfit was submitted by Darcerentity (She’s also on Twitter - @LitchicInk). Here’s what she had to say about her outfit:
“I think the silver streaks and sparkles are a nice nod toward armor and bullets/heatsinks. The burnouts on the tank give a nice textural detail and allow the red velvet tank to show through in a nod to Shep’s N7 stripe. The narrow slacks look both practical and chic and the cargo pockets add a nice military touch. My accessories include a silver-and-coral bracelet my husband gave me and a north star necklace from my parents (both a nod to the Renegade star icon and a memento of Shepard’s love for the stars and space travel).”
I love her use of accessories - I think they really compliment the outfit and the character that it was inspired by.
The next community outfit was submitted by me - I literally tried to copy my Link outfit as perfectly as possible. The entire outfit was purchased at forever 21 for a total of $70 (Totally affordable for this much clothing!). I chose bright green shorts, a white tunic, and some very tri-force inspired accessories. Now, I know we’ve had a lot of Link outfits lately, but it’s definitely something that is summer appropriate.
