I went to the Halo 4 midnight launch last night at my local Best Buy and wore an outfit inspired by the infamous Master Chief. I wore dark green cords from Free People, a grey sequin tank top from American Eagle layered over a black tank, and a black cardigan from J.Crew. I also found really pretty orange earrings from Claire’s that not only reminded me of the Chief’s visor, but the shape of 343 Guilty Spark.

The launch was a blast! I picked up my copy of the game, along with some Halo dog tags, an inflatable Spartan helmet, and an Energy Sword pen! I also baked some Halo themed sugar cookies which I handed out before midnight, and they were a huge hit.

There are more pictures of the launch, and the swag, on C2C’s Facebook page.

I’ll be online tonight around 9 pm EST, perhaps even doing my first stream, if you wanna play with me! My Gamertag is LadySnip3r AM - just send me a message if you want to join! See you tonight :)

This week’s community outfit was created by me. This outfit was based on the outfit featured on C2C inspired by Aeris from Final Fantasy. I chose a floral maxi dress from Marshalls, paired with an American Eagle denim jacket. Finally, I accessorized with lots of bangles, from J.Crew and H&M, and a Fossil watch.

These Portal 2 inspired outfits were submitted by Cameron and Amelia (You can check out her Tumblr blog here). You might recognize Cameron as a previous C2C contributor when he did his own Nathan Drake inspired outfit. Well this time he’s teamed up with his girlfriend to create Cave Johnson and Caroline inspired outfits from Portal.

I love the retro/Mad Men vibe of their outfits and I think they did a great job interpreting characters who have no real “physical” presence in the game - so kodos to them!

This week’s community submissions included a Renegade Commander Shepard and another Link outfit.

The Renegade FemShep (Mass Effect) outfit was submitted by Darcerentity (She’s also on Twitter - @LitchicInk). Here’s what she had to say about her outfit:

“I think the silver streaks and sparkles are a nice nod toward armor and bullets/heatsinks. The burnouts on the tank give a nice textural detail and allow the red velvet tank to show through in a nod to Shep’s N7 stripe. The narrow slacks look both practical and chic and the cargo pockets add a nice military touch. My accessories include a silver-and-coral bracelet my husband gave me and a north star necklace from my parents (both a nod to the Renegade star icon and a memento of Shepard’s love for the stars and space travel).”

I love her use of accessories - I think they really compliment the outfit and the character that it was inspired by.

The next community outfit was submitted by me - I literally tried to copy my Link outfit as perfectly as possible. The entire outfit was purchased at forever 21 for a total of $70 (Totally affordable for this much clothing!). I chose bright green shorts, a white tunic, and some very tri-force inspired accessories. Now, I know we’ve had a lot of Link outfits lately, but it’s definitely something that is summer appropriate.

This week we’ve had some amazing submissions. First, we’ve got a Sora inspired outfit submitted via Twitter by Bishylover. She really captured the nautical look with her striped shirt and red shorts.

We also have a special submission from K. Stewart, the creator of Pwn Love. She did her an outfit inspired by Link of Legend of Zelda.

“For my outfit, I couldn’t resist doing one after my favorite series. I thought the floral lace tights were a nice touch because in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Link is from Kokiri Forest. I thought it was nice nod to the where he grew up. Plus, I need some femininity to balance out the leather,” says K.

This week’s community submissions feature a super awesome Nathan Drake and my own version of Miranda Lawson. Camicon sent this pic in and made note that “the skull bracelet was an anniversary present from my girlfriend who is also a huge fan of C2C and fashion in general” - I absolutely love sentimental pieces, and this one fits perfectly with the Nathan Drake outfit.

I’m personally not a big fan of my Miranda outfit, but due to a lack of girl submissions, I thought I would share. Let’s get some more lady submissions - no need to be shy!

Send in your pictures via the submit page or by email at consoletocloset@gmail.com. Please send in only photos of yourself rocking the outfit, as we are not accepting polyvore creations at this point in time.

Another awesome community created outfit. This one is by Ian Z, rocking a Garrus-inspired outfit from Mass Effect. (Gotta love that awesome Tali shirt!)
“My girlfriend was so inspired by your Garrus look that we went shopping and she got me an outfit like it.  The shirt and jeans are from Banana Republic.  Shoes are dark blue converse from DSW.  Thanks for the inspiration.”
