My Winter Must Haves
For some reason, the text of this post isn’t cooperating, so please bear with me!

You might remember a couple of months ago that I did a fall must have list. I thought it could be a neat idea to share my winter must have list!

1. Topshop Sheer Top + Warehouse Black Pleated Faux Leather Skirt ($24)

This top is actually sold out from Topshop, so I didn’t include a link, but it’s meant to be inspiration - I’ve seen dozens of similar looking tops at Forever 21, Anthropologie, and H&M. This top looks so winter-y to me with it’s delicate, intricate details and sheer fabric. It might not be the warmest, but it’s definitely the cutest.

2. Modcloth’s Lace a Bet on Style Cardigan +H&M Skinny Low Jeans ($48)

I absolutely love leopard print. If I could wear it everyday, and not look trashy, I totally would. Leopard print looks a lot more classy in the winter, especially on a sweater or accessory. I paired the cardigan with some simple skinny jeans. These jeans can also be worn with the sheer top for a dressier look.

3. Modcloth’s Elegant Romance Dress ($54)

This dress is perfect. It redefines little black dress. I would wear a dress like this to holiday parties, dates, or even to work with a simple blazer or cardigan.

4. Marc by Marc Jacobs Ivan Double Breasted Coat ($376) + Coach Basic Glove ($98) + Topshop Dreamcatcher Skull Scarf ($35)

I love colored wool coats - especially in subdued jewel tones. I chose a deep plum color and paired with matching leather gloves and a really whimiscal skull scarf. It’s a little quirky, but still looks amazing.

5. Kate Spade Gramercy Bracelet ($225) + Folded Tarnished Golden Bracelet ($17)

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry in the winter because I hate the feeling of cold metal. However, I try to wear at least something on my wrist so I chose this beautifully simple watch and owl bangle.

6. Modcloth’s All A-Boot Style Boot ($25)

Everyone needs some low boots with buckles. They add instant cool to any outfit.

7. Rochelle Studded Black Booties ($60)

These booties are a great alternative to heels and are more weather appropriate! I love to pair them with printed tights and a simple dress (like number 3!) or with skinny jeans and a fancy top.

8. Nine West Open Sesame Bag ($80)

I chose a light neutral bag that really goes with everything.

9. Fresh Sugar Honey Lip Tinted Treatment ($22)

Last but not least, you should always carry some chapstick with you during the colder seasons. I love sugar lip balm because it’s not sticky, it’s got a natural tint to it, and it’s got spf.

Gyarados (Pokèmon) by ladysnip3r featuring a chain belt
This outfit is inspired by my personal favorite Pokèmon, Gyarados. I’m going to give you three reasons why Gyarados is the best Pokèmon ever:1. It’s from a lovely little place named Lake of Rage! Arrrggghhh2. It’s a flying fish. That’s awesome. 3. It’s a water type that can learn fire and electric moves. Total surprise attack.  Now that Gyarados is your favorite Pokèmon too, you’ll really want to wear this outfit inspired by the dragon. I found a gorgeous dress that reminded me of the different shades of blue and spikes that cover Gyarados. I added a black belt to contrast against the print. I also chose a cardigan that’s the same color as Gyarados’ belly. I wanted to bring a little ocean influence to the outfit, so I found a starfish ring and bubble necklace. The violet earrings look amazing with the dress and are the same color as Gyarados’ eyes. (Reference Image)

The Flood (Halo) by ladysnip3r featuring rebecca minkoff handbags
This outfit is inspired by the Flood of the Halo series. I really wanted to capture their green and coral color palette, and also pick up some of their textures. I chose a light green dress with a coral sweater, and dark green accessories. I found awesome wedges with a really cool pattern on them that replicate the flood’s gross texture. I also found a neat ring that’s sort of space-y and alien looking. (Reference Image)

Rei Kurosawa (Fatal Frame) by ladysnip3r featuring chino pants
This outfit is another request for a game that I’ve never played, but after looking it up - it looks super sweet! I will definitely be buying this game. This outfit is inspired by Rei of Fatal Frame. I chose to do a trendy summer take on her in-game outfit by focusing on her cardigan and cropped pants. I chose a pair of cute skinny pants that can easily be converted into crop pants by cuffing it (this is also a popular trend right now). I chose to do a sweater in a similar color to hers and a feminine tank top. I also chose a camera necklace that hints at her career as a photographer (I wiki’d). Lastly, I chose light shoes and a matching bag that compliments the outfit. (Reference Image)

Yoshi (Mario Games) by ladysnip3r featuring floral jewelry
This outfit is inspired by Yoshi of the Mario games. I chose to use his palette of green and yellow, adding in some contrast with a blue necklace and patterned shoes. I wanted to do something summer-y and casual, because that’s what Mario games are to me. I chose a necklace that is shaped like an egg to reflect Yoshi’s uh, weapon (I’m sure that isn’t the best word for it). (Reference Image)

Rikku (Final Fantasy) by ladysnip3r featuring an opaque hosiery
This outfit is inspired by Rikku of Final Fantasy. I chose to do a more modest approach to her outfit, because well, not everyone is comfortable wearing a bikini all the time. Instead of showing so much skin, I thought shorts and tights would be a cool alternative that’s comfortable and stylish. I chose a bright yellow top, with a really intricate lace pattern on it (It reminds me of her ruffle sleeves). Since the top is so busy, I made sure to keep the other accessories simple. Instead of a headband, I chose to do blue stud earrings and simple rings. (Reference Image)

Space Core (Portal 2) by ladysnip3r featuring platform pumps
This outfit is inspired by the adorable Spaaaace core from Portal 2. I constantly think that Portal inspired outfits should be business formal because of Aperture Science, so I chose to do a suit in this outfit. I chose bright accessories to match the core and add a sense of quirkiness to the outfit. (Reference Image)

Squirtle (Pokèmon) by ladysnip3r featuring wedding jewelry
This outfit is inspired by the Pokèmon Squirtle. It has a nautical feel to it and I chose lots of different textures in the accessories to mimic Squirtle’s shell. I’d recommend wearing a few shades of blue so the outfit doesn’t feel so monochromatic. (Reference Image)

Mario & Luigi by ladysnip3r featuring tear drop earrings
Inspired by the infamous Mario and Luigi, Nintendo’s Super Brothers! I chose to do both characters a bit matchy, so that you and your friend can look totally awesome (I mean it really wouldn’t be the same effect with just one of the brothers, am I right?). (Reference Image)
