My Winter Must Haves
This outfit is inspired by my personal favorite Pokèmon, Gyarados. I’m going to give you three reasons why Gyarados is the best Pokèmon ever:
1. It’s from a lovely little place named Lake of Rage! Arrrggghhh
2. It’s a flying fish. That’s awesome.
3. It’s a water type that can learn fire and electric moves. Total surprise attack.
Now that Gyarados is your favorite Pokèmon too, you’ll really want to wear this outfit inspired by the dragon. I found a gorgeous dress that reminded me of the different shades of blue and spikes that cover Gyarados. I added a black belt to contrast against the print. I also chose a cardigan that’s the same color as Gyarados’ belly. I wanted to bring a little ocean influence to the outfit, so I found a starfish ring and bubble necklace. The violet earrings look amazing with the dress and are the same color as Gyarados’ eyes. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the Flood of the Halo series. I really wanted to capture their green and coral color palette, and also pick up some of their textures. I chose a light green dress with a coral sweater, and dark green accessories. I found awesome wedges with a really cool pattern on them that replicate the flood’s gross texture. I also found a neat ring that’s sort of space-y and alien looking. (Reference Image)
This outfit is another request for a game that I’ve never played, but after looking it up - it looks super sweet! I will definitely be buying this game.
This outfit is inspired by Rei of Fatal Frame. I chose to do a trendy summer take on her in-game outfit by focusing on her cardigan and cropped pants. I chose a pair of cute skinny pants that can easily be converted into crop pants by cuffing it (this is also a popular trend right now). I chose to do a sweater in a similar color to hers and a feminine tank top. I also chose a camera necklace that hints at her career as a photographer (I wiki’d). Lastly, I chose light shoes and a matching bag that compliments the outfit. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Yoshi of the Mario games. I chose to use his palette of green and yellow, adding in some contrast with a blue necklace and patterned shoes. I wanted to do something summer-y and casual, because that’s what Mario games are to me. I chose a necklace that is shaped like an egg to reflect Yoshi’s uh, weapon (I’m sure that isn’t the best word for it). (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Rikku of Final Fantasy. I chose to do a more modest approach to her outfit, because well, not everyone is comfortable wearing a bikini all the time. Instead of showing so much skin, I thought shorts and tights would be a cool alternative that’s comfortable and stylish. I chose a bright yellow top, with a really intricate lace pattern on it (It reminds me of her ruffle sleeves). Since the top is so busy, I made sure to keep the other accessories simple. Instead of a headband, I chose to do blue stud earrings and simple rings. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the adorable Spaaaace core from Portal 2. I constantly think that Portal inspired outfits should be business formal because of Aperture Science, so I chose to do a suit in this outfit. I chose bright accessories to match the core and add a sense of quirkiness to the outfit. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the Pokèmon Squirtle. It has a nautical feel to it and I chose lots of different textures in the accessories to mimic Squirtle’s shell. I’d recommend wearing a few shades of blue so the outfit doesn’t feel so monochromatic. (Reference Image)
Inspired by the infamous Mario and Luigi, Nintendo’s Super Brothers! I chose to do both characters a bit matchy, so that you and your friend can look totally awesome (I mean it really wouldn’t be the same effect with just one of the brothers, am I right?). (Reference Image)
