This outfit is inspired by Cordelia from Lollipop Chainsaw. This outfit is super over the top and sexy, just like Lollipop Chainsaw. I chose shiny high-waisted pants paired with a studded cropped top. I added a white and black blazer and accessorized with black wedges. I also found a crazy leopard print clutch to add even more wildness to the outfit. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Kyle Hyde of Hotel Dusk. I wanted to replicate the unique art style of this game by keeping the outfit mostly black and white. I chose a white shirt dress paired with a black blazer for a sophisticated take on his salesman uniform. I also chose simple, classic black accessories that add to the noir feeling of the game. I decided on a blue belt because that color is used a lot as an accent in the game, and I think it pops beautifully from the black and white. I also chose apple studs as a homage to the apple paintings in the hotel. Lastly, I found a bracelet that reminded me of the one Mila wears throughout the game. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Dracula from the Castlevania series. I wanted to do a luxurious and dressy outfit focusing on his outfit’s colors and layers. I chose a black tight pencil skirt combined with a beautiful lace tank top. I also chose a dark red cardigan and black blazer. I also chose dark red accessories and black booties. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Isaac Clarke of Dead Space. I really wanted to capture the brown and black color and texture of his in-game armor so I decided to pair a brown patterned dress with a black cardigan. I also chose brown knee high boots paired with thigh high socks - a big trend for warm fall days. I found a leopard print watch and bag to add more texture to the outfit and some bright blue earrings to represent his suit’s power bar. This outfit could be easily transitioned to winter or colder weather with the addition of thick tights, a black peacoat, and dark brown scarf. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Rayne of Blood Rayne. I wanted to do something sexy, but stil appropriate to fall weather. I chose dark red pants with leather details paired with a lacy long sleeve shirt with a black bustier over top of it. I also chose the sexiest, most-dangerous looking shoes I could find. Lastly, I picked some deep red accessories to make the pants pop. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the terrifying chainsaw Majini in Resident Evil. I chose an off-white dress that reminded me of the bags they wear on their heads. The dress also has this creepy, straight-jacket thing going on…which I was totally digging. I found this super cool chainsaw necklace and paired it with some gold jewelry to tie the look together. I found super cool ankle boots in a deep red, representing the Majini’s bloody body. I also chose some floral tights that reminded me of the gross infections in resident evil - Funny how floral can look gross when you think of zombies! (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by everyone’s favorite sociopath, Albert Wesker. I chose to do a girl outfit because I imagined his in-game outfit translating to a sort of dominatrix meets secretary look. I chose a black trench coat paired with a black dress. I also chose black studded pumps and silver jewelry. I also wanted to capture his red eyes, so I went with burgundy tinted sunglasses. I thought I’d try something new on here and share my favorite fall must-haves.
1. Burt’s Bees shimmer makeup / Benefit beauty product
I chose these make up products because they work excellently in the fall weather. Burt’s Bees, in my opinion, is the best brand for any lip makeup and this tinted lip balm is super cute! I also chose Benefit’s Moon Beam highlighter - one of my daily makeup staples. This highlighter can be used as an alternative to blush highlighting cheekbones, or, if you’re pretty good at makeup things, be used as to contour your face.
I chose this orange blouse with skulls on it because it’s totally different looking, but still has that fall feeling to it. This shirt would look super cute with a pair of skinny jeans and boots, tucked into a wool skirt with tights, or even paired with a slimmer maxi skirt and wedges.
3. Juicy Couture / Betsey Johnson earrings / Red jewelry /
I chose these earrings because I think they’re absolutely beautiful. I’m a huge fan of Juicy Couture’s jewelry line (NOT their sweatpants). They’ve always got really different earrings that look elegant, but quirky. Betsey Johnson is also one of my favorites, but sometimes her jewelry is a little too bold for me. I also chose a red rose pendant necklace because I instantly think floral print for fall - something which I wanted to replicate with jewelry.
4. J.Crew slim fit shirt
This shirt is perfect. Everything about it: the soft grey hue, the peter pan collar, the zipper in the back. I’m in love. One big fall trend this year, which I’m totally on board with, are peter pan collars. This type of collar is super girlie, but has a sort of whimsical look, which I think makes it a great investment piece. It might be trendy right now, but I think peter pan collars could look timeless with the right outfits.
5. Alexander McQueen jewelry / Kate Spade pearl necklace / Nelly Accessories gold ring, $8.02 / Rhinestone jewelry
I chose jewelry that was very feminine to me to balance out some of the masculine pieces, like the shoes and skirt. I also chose jewelry with really cute details, like the bow.
6. Wallis mini skirt
This style of skirt is my go-to for fall. I’m constantly pairing wool skirts with various printed tights and cardigans all autumn long. This one in particular is amazing because of the masculine print - adds a touch of unique to an average outfit.
7. Shift dress / Vero Moda knitted scarve
Please ignore how expensive this dress is. It’s more for inspiration - plus, I’ve seen similar styles at Forever 21 for a fraction of the price. I chose this dress because I absolutely love floral for fall. I also love the silhouette of it, I think it would look adorable paired with a dark, long blazer.I also added a dark infinity scarf for transitioning this outfit to cooler weather.
8. J.Crew slim jeans
Colored jeans were all the rage all summer, but can they make it through fall? I believe they can. Choose jeans that are a light, neutral color (no neon pink jeans!) and be sure to pair them with fall colors to warm up the outfit. A lot of stores are also carrying colored cords, which could be a great way to transition this style to winter.
9. Steve Madden black flat
Loafers are huge right now - especially ones that are decorated in some way. These studded loafers are a perfect fall outfit, adding a little bad-ass to anything. I’d pair these shoes with more girlie outfits (like the colored jeans and peter pan collar sweater!) to add a little visual interest.
I believe everyone should have one pair of everyday sunglasses and one pair of fun sunglasses. This pair falls into the second group. They are so fun, but still look totally fashionable and sleek.
10. Steve Madden leopard flat
Steve Madden is my favorite brand of shoes, so he’s making a second appearance on this list. I found this adorable leopard print oxfords which I think would look great with almost any outfit. Now, I know most people are a little intimidated by wearing leopard print, but just remember: it’s a neutral (of sorts). You can wear leopard print with essentially any color and any simple print. Don’t go pairing leopard print with zebra print and a bold floral - but if you keep it simple, it could look amazing!
This outfit is inspired by the lovely turrets from Portal. I wanted to keep a similar theme to my previous Glad0s outfit, so I decided to do a sexy, retro approach. I chose a beautiful white and black dress, paired with dangerous looking heels. I also added a red necklace that mimics the look of their laser targeting. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by Guybrush Threepwood of the first Secret of Monkey Island game. I chose to do a white pirate-y looking shirt, paired with blue shorts. I also chose a bright yellow bag that matches his blonde hair. Lastly, I chose a bracelet that has an eye on it to match his necklace of eye balls in a fashionable way. (Reference Image)
This outfit is inspired by the unnamed protagonist of the Prince of Persia 2008 game. I chose to focus on the colors of his headscarf and used accessories to mimic his gauntlet. (Reference Image)
Inspired by the infamous Mario and Luigi, Nintendo’s Super Brothers! I chose to do both characters a bit matchy, so that you and your friend can look totally awesome (I mean it really wouldn’t be the same effect with just one of the brothers, am I right?). (Reference Image)
